Corfu

As Ulysses last temptation, before his return to Ithaca, Corfu is the undisputed Queen of the Ionian sea with plenty of verdant areas surrounded by the famous Ionian turquoise waters. Therefore, is called the Emerald Island of Greece. The architecture of the old town of Corfu is influenced by Italian style, with aristocrat walking streets, right under the shadow of the Venetian fort. It is also described as the island of music, with more than 16 active marching bands.
