The charming Naxos island lays claim to the longest crystalline beaches in the Aegean, the greenest of the Cycladic islands with a lush, magnificent landscape and one of the richest histories. Perhaps best demonstrated by Portara, the massive, gate-like ruins of the unfinished Apollo temple, azure waters and sun-soaked shores.

The beach of Kastraki is located between Mikri Vigla and Glyfada beaches. It is located about 16 km from Naxos town. Boasting stunning fine white sand and crystalline waters, the setting is serene. The shore extends more than 3km and it is a region is renowned for its natural and unspoiled beauty. Except for its charming sea and coast, the surrounding cedar trees play their part in the tranquil exotic ambiance that the area emits.

Kastraki offers one of the most amazing sunsets of the island. It is worth staying till late in the afternoon to watch the sun setting behind the mountains of Paros.
